The Pop Culture Podcast! is back this year after surviving the end of 2015!  The LA Nerd and Taylor dish out a Marvel-heavy Nerd News this week including talking about the new images of Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange; how much Thanos we'll really see in Guardians 2; there's not a dry pair of pants in the studio after talking about the Deadpool trailer; Black Panther gets an "official" genre; and finally the guys talk about their favorite movies of 2015 and what movies they wish they had seen in theaters! Star Wars the Force Awakens Review!

Pop! Pop! the Pop Culture Podcast! loves Star Wars as much as you do (probably more, let's be honest) and guess what little movie came out last week? Star Wars The Force Awakens!  The LA Nerd & Taylor dedicate almost an entire episode to their review of the newest addition to the Star Wars universe.  But first, of course there's a little Nerd News comin' your way!  Patrick Geraghty and Missy Dowling chime in on the following: Tom Holland being spotted with a certain magical Benedict Cumberbatch character (Spider-Man AND Doctor Strange!? Daaaaamn!); Harry Potter is kind of back with a trailer for Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them and Missy just so happens to be an expert on all things wizardry; and finally Justin Lin ditches fast cars for fast spaceships with the first trailer for Star Trek: Beyond! We know it's a little clashing of fandoms, but it's good, we promise! 

Then, get ready for Star Wars because the guys leave no stone unturned in their Star Wars The Force Awakens review!  (Non-spoiler review first, don't worry.)

Marvel five DC Trailer Showdown

Pop! Pop! The Pop Culture Podcast! is back after an unforeseen month-long break!  The LA Nerd and Taylor talk about Mr. Ryan Coogler (of Fruitvale Station & Creed fame) being up for the Black Panther directing spot.  He's good, his movies are good, we like it!  Also, Disney is seeking three female directors and two female writers for the Star Wars franchise and we break down who they could scoop up.  For the main event, the guys break down the two most recent blockbuster trailers: Captain America: Civil War & Batman five Superman; you know their love (and love to hate) for both, so tune in and hear what they have to say about the latest sneak peeks!

New York Comic-Con! (Finally!)

The episode we promised and you might've been waiting for is finally here! Pop! Pop! the Pop Culture Podcast! goes to New York Comic-Con!  The LA Nerd and Patrick are joined by Age of the Nerd owner Sean McAloon on location from the east coast to dish about what went down at NYCC. 

Kevin Smith, Bruce Campbell & Ash vs. Evil Dead, the cast of Mr. Robot, the cast of From Dusk Till Dawn, Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer of The Venture Bros... The guys talked to all of these lovely people and more!  Tune in and find out who they geeked out over the most!  There's a little bit of Nerd News too, have no fear!  The title for Ant-Man 2 and the fact that J.J. Pun! the Pun-Culture Podcast! Puns run rampant as the gang talks about Alvin & the Chipmunks taking on Star Wars; how much money Huge-Jacked-Man and Pan lost in theaters; why Fox is not giving the Fantastic 4 rights back to Marvel; Vin Diesel slaying dragons in a possible D&D movie; and how Wes Anderson must love dogs because his next film is about dogs!

Watchmen TV Show?

On episode 12 of Pop! Pop! the Pop Culture Podcast! The LA Nerd and Taylor welcome their very own roommate Patrick Geraghty to the studio to dish out some Nerd News!  The guys share solace over the fact that Pacific Rim 2 has been pulled from its release date; talk trash on Zack Snyder, his infamous slow motion sex scenes and his terrible music choices; and dream about a world where the X-Men are apart of the Marvel universe.  They also drool over Emmanuel Lubezki's cinematography in The Revenant; cry for Leo Dicaprio's nonexistent Oscar; speculate which new cast member of The Force Awakens is a Jedi; and last but not least they weigh the pros and cons of a Watchmen TV series on HBO (there's also more Zack Snyder trash talking there too).

Elon Musk

Holy crap! It's the 10th episode of Pop! Pop! the Pop Culture Podcast!  Are we doing something special, you ask?  No, not really, just reporting the nerdy news as always!  Rebecca Ferguson from Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation (aka: Ghost Protes II) is being eyed for Captain Marvel and we salute the hell out of this idea!  The first teaser for Jessica Jones was released and while it's not very intriguing, it's still a Marvel show that's following Daredevil so you have to be excited for it!  Matt Damon is back for Bourne 5, AMC is finally making Preacher and it's been reported that there's more B than S in Batman Five Superman! 

For the main event this week, the guys stray from the comic book world and discuss a little real-life Sci-Fi; Elon Musk was recently on Stephen Colbert's new late night show talking about the colonization of Mars.  Is dropping thermonuclear bombs on the poles of Mars a good idea? A King‘s Betreyal

This week on Pop!
